The Stonehenge
You know these ancient rocks from a default PC screensaver. Most people know it from there.
I've heard about these rock formations from Merlin stories and as a believer in some truth to legends and magical stories that I am, I was expecting to feel something seeing the Stonehenge up close.
We went there feeling giddy. It was so windy that day. The winds were bringing some chills. Aside from that, I felt nothing. It was still fun to be there though, but no misty, magical feelings. Forgive me, but i didn't even feel awestruck.
I'm not really disappointed...but maybe it was just over rated. For me, at least.
It's not located in some dramatic hills or cliff that my imagination or some movies convinced me that it was. It is actually and fairly close to a countryside road. That totally made the location less dramatic.
But still, the stone formation is ancient. I'm grateful I was able to visit it before its gone.
